Ontario wineries host all sorts of special events – from winemaker dinners, to Easter egg hunts, to unique seminars and tastings – throughout the year.  They tend to advertise special events directly on their websites, to wine and barrel club members, and to e-mail lists that you can sign up for. So – if there’s a particular winery that you especially like – be sure you watch their website for upcoming events and get on their mailing list.

Region-wide Events and Festivals

Besides individual events, throughout the year there are lots of events and festivals that a number of wineries in a given region participate in – some are passport programs, some are ticketed, and some that are open to those who happen to be at the winery or in the area at the right time.

So what if you’re thinking ahead – say about the May long weekend – and you know you’d like to visit some wineries and you wonder whether there’s anything special going on in any of the wine regions throughout Ontario, you realize it would be handy to have kind of a master list of events by month. Well, viola – here it is!

We’ll do our best to keep it up-to-date – but if the exact dates for this year have not been published, at least knowing the date of the last one will give you a pretty good idea of when the event is. Also, occasionally an event will be moved or re-named or refocused it, but that doesn’t happen too often.
